Opening Ceremonies
We departed at the crack of dawn on Dec 27th for Brantford, Ontario to attend the Wayne Gretzky tournament. A big tournament with 99 teams even a few teams from Europe. Our Amherst Knights were one of 4 teams from the USA. We held our own and made into the finals! Daniel played well, except for scaring his parents with a header into the boards after a break away, no more hockey that night, but he good to go by the next morning, There was some good hockey going onnot only at the rinks, but in the rooms as well. Daniel brought his new basketball hoop (thanks Uncle Rick) and our room was a big draw in between games. Despite some cold toes, it was a nice family oriented weekend!
